Backstory ~
Born and raised in Maine and moved to the Lowcountry in 1992. My husband, Matt, and I have 2 grown sons, 3 cats and will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this year. A lot has changed over those years that I just condensed in 2 sentences. But a few things have stayed the same. My love for laughing and having fun, my curiosity for life, a passion for personal growth and deep sense of faith. I believe with this combination it’s no coincidence that my journey led me to Yoga.
Enter Yoga~
Yoga entered my life in 2015. I was on a journey of filling my cup and went to my first studio class. Yoga opened a door to a world I didn’t know existed but immediately felt at home. Linking movement & breath, unlocking stuck energy in my body and accepting myself more and more each time I showed up on my mat kept bringing me back. I came for the workout and stayed for the wisdom. Completing 500 hours of teacher training opened me up to my life’s purpose and greatest honor; to share Yoga and hold space for others to reach their fullest potential on and off the mat.
My Classes~
My goal as a teacher is for everyone to feel empowered to do what they need. Every time we show up on our mats we meet ourselves where we are. This is a gift to ourselves. My classes are light hearted and deep, they are fun and challenging, there is space for silence and the opportunity for growth. As a Reiki Practitioner and a Ayurvedic Wellness Coach student I love to infuse these modalities into my classes with the intention to cultivate balance and healing.
I hope you join me on this journey as you are why I am here. Alicia
